Hay everybody! Breanna here ( yes I'm Matts daughter and yes the one working on the 56). Alrighty so today I went with my dad and sisters to Avila Beach to chill with other vw people. We had a pretty good turn out there was about 30 cars all lined up along the baech with people coming from all over the central coast. And with the weather being nice...little windy though... it made for a great day! But i mean hay where could you go wrong with vws, food and the beach? Haha so if you dont belive me heres proof .....
Well, Meet in the Middle just finished up. What a day! The weather was beutiful! Clear, sunny skies, a light breeze, and high 60's temps. What more could you ask for?
I took out the ragtop, piled my daughter, and her best friend, and her boy friend into the car, and off we went to the local McD's to meet up with the group. When we got there, there were already a few VW's hanging out. Right at the designated meeting time, in starts rolling the caravan from the north. First about 10 cars come off the freeway. Then a few more. Then a few more. When it was all done I think we had most of the parking lot filled! I'd estimate about 35-40 cars between the Santa Maria cars, and the northern boys. I was thinking then that it was going to be an outstanding day

Well, MITM BBQ is right around the corner, coming up this sunday the 15th. I'll be out cooking up some hamburgers for the big kids (adults) and hot dogs for the little kidos. Weather looks to be nice this weekend so get your cars out of storage, wash them up, and have a nice drive to the central coast!
The next big event for this household will be the annual Meet in the Middle get together/show
Brian O'Kelly and his gang put this together every year, and if the weather cooperates, we get a very good turn out for this one. It's held early in the year to sort of kick things off, and it's a very laid back sort of affair, very family oriented, and just a good time had by all.
This year it got pushed back to March 15th due to some serious rain we were getting on the weekend of the first date.
